Abandoned properties in the Heart of Peoria

Take a drive on Bigelow between Nebraska and Republic. HORRIBLE properties; overgrown with weeds, taller than the fireplug in one yard. I'd be surprised if anyone has lived in them for the last ten years. Does the city NOT have any inspectors? I feel sorry for the owners/occupants of nearby homes.
